This weekend was pretty busy! U-Kiss’ Eli Kim made a major announcement that not only is he married (and has been for like a year) but expecting a baby. I usually don’t talk about these things but he wanted everyone to know as he said in his now deleted instagram post so Congrats! JYJ’s Jaejoong also surprised fans by announcing the release of a pre-recorded album in 2016. Samsung is settling with Apple before taking their case to the Supreme Court and Lovelyz released the official comeback video for “For You“.
And since we’re talking about comebacks…
Apparently GFriend is getting ready to make a comeback in 2016. Though it hasn’t been officially reported, I think there may be a bit of truth to this one.
According to the insider on December 6, although GFRIEND was originally preparing for a comeback within this year, their comeback has been delayed. However, the insider said, “They will come back soon with good tracks and performance in the GFRIEND style.”
It’s a strong possibility that this could be true. I remember not too long ago hearing that they would be making a comeback this year and then I didn’t hear anything else about it. So maybe they will be back early next year? Maybe.
But we do have someone who did make an official comeback at the end of the year.
Enter Zico! Zico’s new album was released officially on December 7th at midnight (KST). But he, of course, had been preparing fans for this day. With tracks such as “Yes or No” and “Boys and Girls”, fans were more than ready to hear the official music.
But even with comeback news, Zico had to take time to address a more serious issue. He’s been dealing with twitter hacks. It’s gotta to the point now that he’s seriously considering taking action against them.
Zico’s agency stated… “As far as we are aware, the hacking has been going on since the release of ‘Boys and Girls.’ Although the hackers have not left any messages on his Twitter so far, his password is constantly being changed”… The agency representative compared hacking to burglary, and finally said, “We will shortly request the Korean National Police Agency Cyber Bureau to launch an investigation into this.”
It’s pretty serious if they want to get an investigation launched into the issue. Hopefully it’s nothing serious and whoever is doing it will stop before they get into some real trouble.
And finally, I’m sure by now you’ve heard that the official name of the new girl group produced by Starship Entertainment and Yuehwa Entertainment is called, “Cosmic Girls”. Well, over the weekend the first official member was announced.
EXY! She was on Unpretty Rapstar 2 and now she’s in her own group.
No official word on who’s next but I’m sure that the fans online aren’t too far off in their picks. Rumors have been flying for a while and fans even made a chart of possible members.
There’s no real guarantee that aside from EXY any of the below are a possibility but fans seem to think so.
What do you think?
