So this weekend was pretty busy! I was watching the stories as they updated as I usually do but I honestly couldn’t keep up with everything this time around. For starters, Song Ji Hyo looks stunning in the new Marie Claire photoshoot with Chen Bolin. The duo are gearing up for the premiere of the Chinese version of “We Got Married”.
And since we’re talking about looks, 4minute’s Jihyun was recently asked about hers. During a press conference for “My Little Baby”, a reporter told her how her in the drama her character looks “slim, yet curvaceous” and asked her if she were the same way in real life. And of course she answered the only way possible stating that her body is “naturally glamorous” and she was happy to be able to present herself in that light for the new drama.
BIGBANG just finished up their World Tour reaching 1.5 Million Fans in 13 countries and 32 cities! Apparently, they’ve drawn in the attention of fans and celebrities in the sold out arena at Seoul’s Olympic Park.
But with the show ending, what else are they gonna do? Well, they announced it. They’re planning their 10th Anniversary Tour!
“…Seungri says, “Before the concert, we had a meeting with YG staff members. We’re going to hold a BIGBANG tenth anniversary concert this summer here in Korea in an outdoor venue… “In return for ten years of your love, we plan to make the tenth anniversary concert an epic day-long festival,” adds Taeyang.
Not only have they made this huge announcement, but they’ve also been thanking fans over and over all over their social media for all the support and love.
I’m super happy to hear about this tour and I know it’ll be well worth it.
“Descendants of the Sun” is quickly becoming an all-time favorite for many viewers. The show has garnered tons of attention from celebrities as well. And with the many interviews with the actors about how they prepared for their roles and how they think fans will perceive the show, nobody ever really asked about the production costs… until the first episode.
If you’ve noticed, it looks expensive. Well no surprise here, it was!
“Set in the fictional war-torn country of Urk, the majority of the drama’s hefty budget went to creating the setting… the higher the budget, the better quality the end result will be… KBS’s “Descendants of the Sun”… cost a staggering 13 billion won (approximately $10.8 million) to produce.”
I don’t know about you guys, but my eyes got wide when I saw the final cost! That’s the amount of a movie budget! But I’m guessing it was well worth it. I mean, look at it, it’s so pretty to watch. The storyline is great too I’m sure. (I’m totally behind on all my dramas… don’t judge me! I still haven’t seen Cheese in the Trap.)
A general producer reported, “The scenes that were filmed in Greece and the scenes that were filmed in Taebaek are all mixed in with each other. It was difficult making it so that keen viewers couldn’t distinguish between the two filming locations.”
And just add here, it’s been reported that 2 billion won was spent on just the art budget, which is a fancy way of saying CGI.
All I will say is this, Quality is better than just a thrown together show.
And finally, the rumor mill. Is Victoria following the steps of Sulli and leaving f(x)?
Here’s the reasoning behind the accusation:
“…Recently, Victoria edited her profile, removing the portion where she had written “fx–Victoria,” simply leaving her Chinese name in its characters… She has been busy with promotions in China as of late, focusing on acting…”
Though fans have come to her defense pointing out that f(x) is still in her introductory bio, there are still plenty who are unconvinced.
Personally, I don’t think it’s a sign she’s stepping away. If she removed all of f(x) from her accounts, then I’d be suspicious. Why? Because in all the time I’ve been blogging, that’s usually a tell-tale sign that the idol is about to leave.
But in this case, I’m not so sure.
