If you are a fan of Girls Generation (SNSD), you may remember this singer I’m highlighting today. That’s right ladies and gents! Tiffany Young has officially debuted as a solo artist in… America!! I have listened to her new EP on repeat since it came out! It’s definitely a really solid first exposure. If you haven’t heard it yet, it’s completely in English. I’m so proud of her for being brave and coming back to America to create her own individual sound. I love “Born Again”, “Runaway” and “Not Barbie”.
With her contract over with SM Entertainment, many people were heavily speculating about what would be next for her. Well, I think the mini-documentary may answer those questions.
If you haven’t heard her debut EP “Lips on Lips”, check it out below!
With the merge of Million Market and SM entertainment, we’re going to see a lot of new artists popping up from SM that don’t have the familiar sound that a lot of kpop fans are used to. However, if you aren’t new to the Korean hip-hop/urban sound, you’ll be really excited about this. (As I am!!)
In October I shared a post about MOON and this week I’m sharing Jiselle 지젤. Just like MOON, Jiselle is an artist that was signed to Million Market and is now under the SM umbrella. I’m so excited that not only are they maintaining their sound but they’re also introducing these artists to a broader audience.
If you followed Produce 101 then you may be already very familiar with this Artist of the Week. 청하 Chung Ha is a former member of the girl group I.O.I which was a product of the show. For those of you who have never heard of it before, basically it was a competition show and the girls that made up I.O.I were selected as the finalists that would be a new kpop girl group in Korea. However, they were disbanded after 1 year.
Since then the members have gone on to do their own separate careers and one such member of that group is 청하 Chung Ha. I really haven’t followed the members as closely but I heard her new song and was immediately looking for her new album. She’s put out solo music in the past too so definitely check out her previous music if you haven’t already.

So I debated on whether to end the year with a new Artist of the Week or to wait and then begin the year with one. I have decided to end the year with an artist I was just introduced to today… Minty!
She debuted in February of this year and is signed to Major7 Company. I personally think she has a very unique sound and vocals.
If you haven’t heard of her before, check out the sample playlist below!
