말해 줘 (malhae jwo) | [Word of the Day]

안녕하세요!

I looked all over for this phrase here and I didn’t see it anywhere. Maybe I have it written within another post or something but I really thought it was here.

Word:

  • 말해 줘 (malhae jwo) | tell me

So let’s break this down a bit.

말해 (malhae) comes from the verb 말하다 meaning “to talk” or “to tell” or “to say”

줘 (jwo) comes from the verb 주다 means “to give”

So when we say “말해” on it’s own like the phrase above, it’s understood to mean “tell me” however, when you add 줘 on the end of this phrase, it goes from being a command to asking the person. It’s like saying “please tell me.”

Okay, I’m having a bit of déjà vu here but if I do end up finding that post on here I will link it to this post!

Artist Spotlight | WINNER

WINNER is released their 3rd Mini-Album “Cross” today!! They have also released the music video for their single “SOSO” today. It’s amazing and I really like it. The video is actually also really pretty to look at. I’m not really sure why but I really thought it was so aesthetically pleasing. (Is that a thing?)

If you haven’t heard the album I added the album sampler video to this post so you can check it out!
