This week, I’m trying to use examples that are bit complex but not too far off from what we’ve been doing up until now. I hope it’s still easy to follow!
This example for today is focusing on not just how to use 못 but also how to use it in a connected past tense sentence.
Let’s get started!
공부했지만 (gongbuhaessjiman) | “I studied but…”
- past tense
- transitional word -지만
- connects “I studied…” to the rest of the sentence
- 나는 공부했지만 잘하지 못 봤어. (naneun gongbuhaessjiman jalhaji mos bwass-eo.)| “I studied but I didn’t do well on the test.”
Okay so that’s it for today!
