We all have different activities that interest us. There are times when we just need to relax and do something that we enjoy. These types of activities could be video games, dancing, listening to music, exercising, writing, painting… whatever it may be, you might want to talk about it. In today’s lesson, we’re going to show how to ask and then in a scenario with Min-ho and Mina, we’ll see how to answer.
But first, quick vocabulary list found here.
Let’s get started!
What is your favorite hobby?”
| “What do you like to do for fun?”
Scenario: Min-ho is approaching a new classmate.
(annyeonghaseyo, ileum-i Min-hoibnida. ileum-i mwoyeyo?) | “Hello. My name is Min-ho. What’s your name?”
(annyeonghaseyo, minhoya. Jae-miibnida.) | “Hi Min-ho. I’m Jae-mi.”
Min-ho: 반갑습니다. (bangabseubnida. geulaeseo… mwo haseyo?)| “Nice to meet you. So, what are you doing?”
(daman geulim-eul geuligo iss-eoyo.)| “I’m just drawing.”
Min-ho: 오, 취미입니다? (o, chwimiibnida?)| “Oh, is it a hobby?”
Jae-mi: (laughs nervously) 네. (ne. chwimiga mwoyeyo?)| (laughs nervously) “Yea. What is your hobby?”
(o. naega jaggaibnida.) | Oh, I’m a writer.
Jae-mi: 그래? (geulae?) | Oh, really?
Min-ho: 네. (laughs)| Yes. (laughs)
I’m sure Min-ho and Jae-mi are off to a good start! I wonder if we’ll be seeing her again…
That’s it for today!
