Alright so it is Day 2 of the post of (-handago). Let me again say, I realize that this post belongs in a bigger grammar post that’s more descriptive. I realized it after I had already started talking about this and it dawned on me that in order to fully understand this I’d have to explain it more thoroughly. I apologize in advance and I’ll get to that later on.
For now, let’s just focus on simpler grammar principles. Let’s get started!
먹겠다고 (meoggessdago) | “I will eat./I said I will eat.”
- 먹 | “eat”
- 겠 | future tense conjugation, “I will”
- 다고 | emphasis “I said…”
