잠들다 (jamdeulda) + -고 싶다| [Word of the Day]

안녕하세요!

It’s finally at the conclusion and by now I’m sure you can make a lot of examples using this ending on your own. However, we’re going to end this week with one last example before moving on!

Let’s get started!

::Insert familiar verb::

잠들다 (jamdeulda) | “to sleep”

i.e.,

  • 잠들 ka-go sipeoyo. (잠들 가고 싶어요.) | I would like to go to sleep./I wish to go to sleep.
  •  잠들 ka-go sipeosseoyo? (잠들 가고 싶었어요?) | Do you want to go to sleep?
Bonus:
너 잠들어 있니? (Neo jamdeul-eo issni?) | “Do you ever sleep?” (unrelated but since we’re talking about sleep I thought I’d just throw that in there! And there’s a hint in there about what’s coming next… hmmm…)
Alright so that’s the last example for this week! Next week, we’ll be talking about he/she wants/wishes.
See ya next week!
