자주 (jaju ) | [Word of the Day]

안녕하세요!

Alright so here we are with an example from the Grammar of the Week/WOTD post. Hopefully the grammar lesson wasn’t too difficult to understand. I tried to break it down as best as I could. Let’s take a look at an example of how to describe a noun using a verb.

자주 (jaju) | “frequently; often”

i.e.,

  • 내가 먹어 자주 음식 (naega meog-eo jaju eumsig) | “the food I eat often”

Even though it may not seem like it, 자주 is a way of describing 음식 (the food) that the speaker eats. In complete context, it could fit in a sentence similarly to, “I will bring the food I (eat often/frequently eat) to the potluck.”

Okay, so we’re going to stop here. I don’t want to complicate this too much as it can get confusing even for me. But we’ll look at another example tomorrow!

That’s all for today!
