잠들다 (jamdeulda) | [Word of the Day]

안녕하세요!

Okay so again, here’s a word we have seen before and potentially have been using to describe how we feel. Quick refresher, what does this mean?

잠들다 (jamdeulda)| “to sleep”

Again we’re going to break this down to express our future intentions.

잠들다 + 까 해요
  • Drop 다
  • 잠들
  • Conjugate 하다 to get 해 or 해요
  • 잠들 까 해요| “I intend to sleep/I am thinking of (going to) sleep”
    • [again, this doesn’t include the full sentence, for the purpose of this example it is simply understood. However, remember that you would have to add a conjugated form of 가다 (gada) to complete this thought.]

Alright so we will end this lesson here! I had a lot of fun doing this week’s lesson but now I’m ready to move on to something new. New WOTD and Grammar of the Week on Sunday!

See ya next week!
