시작하다 ‎(sijakhada) ‎[Word of the Day]

안녕하서요!

I’m sure I had a theme for this month, however, today’s word just seemed so fitting. For some of you it is already 2016 and for others it’s still 2015… or the last remnants of it. Wherever you may fall on the time zone spectrum, you’re probably thinking about your new beginnings.

시작하다 ‎(sijakhada) [v] ‎|  “to begin”

Examples:

  • 쓰기 시작 (sseugi sijag) | “begin writing”
  • 새로운 시작 (saeloun sijag) | “new beginning”
  • 취미을 시작 (chwimileul sijag) | “start a hobby”

Something new to start the year!
