You may notice that at times I will repeat words that were featured in Weekly Vocabulary Lists. It was a series I was trying within the WOTD series that I decided to discontinue. But my reasoning for repeating the same words is because of repetition.
The more you see it, the more you read it, the more you hear it, the better you’ll know it. So every now and then you may see a word pop up that you’ve seen before, it’s deliberate. It’s how I’ve been learning as well. I have an app that does this to me daily. It throws that same words at me at random times for me to identify. At first it was annoying but I’m now I’m starting to see the benefit.
Building a vocabulary in Korean (or any language that you’re learning) is extremely important. Repetition is key!
고양이 (goyangi) [n] | “cat”
- 나의 고양이 예뻐. (Naui goyangi yeppeo.) | “My cat is pretty.”
- 너 고양이 싷어? (neo goyang-i silh-eo?) | “You don’t like cats?”
Alright so that’s it for today!
