눈물 (nunmul) [Word of the Day]

안녕하세요! (Annyeonghaseyo!)

I think a few months ago I used parts of the body as the Vocabulary of the Week. It’s been a while but I’m going to spend this week going over different parts of the body and functions. Today is 눈 (nun) = “eyes”.

눈물 (nunmul) = tears/teardrops

울다 (ulda) = to cry

비전 (bijeon) = vision

보다 (boda) = to see | familiar term

Examples:

  • 내 비전은 크지 않다. (nae bijeon-eun keuji anhda.) = “My vision isn’t great.”
  • 그녀가 울고으로 눈물이 떨어졌다. (geunyeoga ulgo-eulo nunmul-i tteol-eojyeossda.) = “Tears fell as she cried.”
  • 나는 개를 보았다. (naneun gaeleul boassda.) = “I saw the dog.”

So that’s it for today!

내일까지! (naeilkkaji!)
