우회전 하세요 (uhoejeon haseyo) [Word of the Day] + Vocabulary List of the Week

안녕하세요와! (Annyeonghaseyo!)

I’m not sure if you’ve ever been in a taxi or how often you’ve given someone directions, but this is one of those things you probably say way more than you think you do. Today is going to be a short less since it’s a simple phrase.

우회전 하세요 (uhoejeon haseyo) = “Turn right”/”turn right”

회전 (hoejeon) = turn

하세요 (haseyo) [informal polite speech] = form of 하시다 (hasida) “to do (polite)”

우 (u) [Hangul syllabic block] = But also means “right”

Vocabulary List of the Week! I don’t know if I have made these a vocabulary list before and if I have please forgive the repeat. Repetition is also a good thing when learning a new language. They go along with the theme this week so I thought, “why not?”

  1. 앞 (ap) = in front
  2. 뒤 (dwi) = behind
  3. 옆 (yeop) = beside
  4. 안 (an) = inside
  5. 위 (wi) = on top
  6. 밑 (mit) = below

-내일까지! (naeilkkaji!)
