Today’s post will be short. After alllll the information I’ve piled on last week, I just wanted to take a breather and just focus on vocabulary building. This week I have officially decided to keep the theme of occupations. I haven’t decided on the Vocabulary List of the Week just yet (but I am open to suggestions!). Also, don’t forget if there is a word or phrase you’d like me to talk about during the WOTD or Grammar of the Week, just write in the comments below and I’ll cover it and give you a shout out!
The word today is a common position that many people have held or are currently holding. The word is:
- 회계원 (hoegyewon) [n]: “accountant; treasurer”
So yesterday the question was: “너 직업이 뭐예요? (neo jig-eob-i mwoyeyo?)” so a response could potentially be
- “나는 회계사로 일. (naneun hoegyesalo il.) = I work as an accountant.
**This sentence is a rough translation.
I may save the occupations for the Vocabulary of the Week and cover phrases as the WOTD, I don’t know yet. I just know occupations are the theme this week.
