비행 (bihaeng) [Word of the Day]

안녕하세요! (Annyeonghaseyo!)

Today is the last day of events/locations theme before I pull it all together as “Dates and Location” for the new Grammar of the Week next week. We’re going to talk about three things today that all involve catching a flight.

비행 (bihaeng) [noun]: “Flight”

비행기표 (bihaenggipyo) [noun]: “plane ticket”

비행기 (bihaenggi) [noun]: “airplane”

Examples:

  • “어떤 시간 은 비행기 입니다?” (eotteon sigan eun bihaeng-gi ibnida?) = What time is your flight?
  • “내 비행기는 3시 30분 떠난다.” (nae bihaeng-gineun 3si 30bun tteonanda.) = My plane/flight leaves at 3:30.
  • “너는 너의 비행기표 구입했?” (neoneun neoui bihaeng-gipyo gu-ibhaess?) = Did you buy your plane ticket?

I think next week I’ll have food or hobbies for the theme.

-월요일까지! (wol-yoilkkaji!)
