여러분 (yeoreobun) [Word of the Day]

안녕하세요! (Annyeonghaseyo!)

How many times how you been watching something and someone says, “여러분 (yeoreobun)!” and you’re left wondering… ummm what? That’s happened to me a few times. Mainly because I get it confused a lot with 우리들 (urideul). Two different words with two different meanings. But they’re both plural and signify more than one person. We’re only going to talk about 여러분 (yeoreobun) today though.

여러분 (yeoreobun) [n] : “everybody”

This is a term used when addressing a group of people but not including yourself. You’ll probably hear a lot in school dramas, movies, or skits involving classrooms.

So that’s it for today! Tomorrow we’ll talk about  우리들 (urideul). New Grammar of the Week this week! It definitely ties in with the Word of the Day!
